<소녀-시간을 두드리는 여행>
우리는 완전한 어른이 되었을까?
물리적인 시간은 우리가 원하지 않아도 식물의 줄기처럼 위로 자라나게 한다.
하지만 마음과 정신은 자라난 몸보다 여리고 미숙할 수 있다.
유독 잊히지 않는 아팠던 시간이 있고, 그 상태에 여전히 갇혀 있기도 하다.
마음이 몸을 따라가지 못한 어른의 줄기는 옅은 바람에도 쉽게 꺾이고 만다.
시간을 거슬러 그때의 자신을 위로할 수 없을까?
그래서 나는 풀잎 소녀를 그리기 시작했고, 그녀와 함께 시간 여행을 하게 되었다.
풀잎 소녀는 마음을 전하는 메신저이며,
소녀가 가진 풀잎은 신비한 약초이다.
그녀의 시간 여행을 통해 과거 자신의 자아와 마주한다.
자신의 상처 난 줄기를 이해하고 위로하며, 깨닫고 성장했으면 하는 바람을 담았다.
여전히 상처 난 줄기를 힘겹게 품고 있을 여느 불완전한 어른들에게
풀잎 소녀로부터 경험한 마법 같은 변화를 전하고 싶다.
<Girl - A Journey Tapping into Time>
Have we become true adults?
Physical time, whether we desire it or not, grows upward like the stem of a plant.
However, the heart and mind can be more tender and immature than the grown body.
There are particularly unforgettable painful times, and I still find myself trapped in that state.
The stem of an adult whose heart hasn't caught up with the body easily bends even in a gentle breeze.
Is it not possible to comfort the self from that time by going back against time?
So I started drawing the Grass Girl, and ended up traveling through time with her.
The Grass Girl is a messenger conveying emotions,
and the grass she possesses is a mysterious herb with healing properties.
Through her time travels, the reader confronts their past self and identity.
I portrayed the hope of understanding and comforting one's wounded stem, realizing, and growing through it.
For all imperfect adults still carrying their wounded stems with difficulty,
I’d like to convey the magical changes experienced through the Grass Girl.
